Hi Hi 🐰
I'm Lingshan Fan, also name myself as Alycia. This is a small stage I set for myself to introduce me a little bit more. I’m fueled by curiosity and guided by my passions and have good understanding of aesthetic, photograph shooting, video editing and creative production and below you'll find the major work I've done .

A. My master creative project - Zine POST POST POST
As a student who had dedicated much of my time to purely academic reading rather than practical, hands-on work, choosing to take a different path for my master’s final project required significant courage. This decision was also fueled by my deep fascination with zines and independent magazine culture.
Selling is not merely a transactional act—it can also transform the way content is expressed and perceived.
During my copywriting internship in Beijing, an interview I conducted introduced me to the concept of radical bookstores. This experience sparked my interest in the activist potential of the print industry, further inspiring my project.

C. 2022 and 2023 Spring Festival Gala Leicester
As the producer and director of both events, I led a team of over 50 members to plan and execute the galas from start to finish.
This included initial brainstorming sessions, securing venues and equipment, recruiting volunteers, sourcing sponsorships, coordinating stage design, and conducting multiple rehearsals.
When the stage lights finally lit up, everything ran seamlessly, culminating in a flawless finale. The entire process was an immensely rewarding and pride-filled journey.
💐🌷 "Post-Spring Festival Thoughts" – A Bunch of Random Ramblings This was an event built from scratch, watered with sweat in the spring. Almost none of us had experience planning a large-scale gala. Securing the venue, brainstorming the theme, arranging lighting and sound equipment rentals—everything was a step-by-step trek into the unknown, driven only by our insistence on quality and vision. A gala needs a group of people willing to lead with seriousness, dedication, execution, and even tears—and luckily, we found exactly those kinds of people. That’s how we managed to shoulder the pressure and still find joy in it. Realistically, the actual prep time only began in early February. Before that, delays had eaten up most of our schedule. But once we locked in the end-of-February deadline, everyone’s energy synced up at last. The gala wrapped up yesterday, and against all odds, it went incredibly smoothly—especially considering how messy rehearsals had been. Looking back, it’s wild how many unforeseen hurdles we overcame. You never really know until you do it: so much can’t just be talked about or glanced over; you have to get your hands dirty to understand the nitty-gritty struggles. Originally, I might’ve only been in charge of promotion, but thanks to my roommate (the head director), a chief planner friend, and my own tendency to meddle (ahem, care too much), I ended up diving into all sorts of tasks. That also meant I got to bring some of my own ideas to life. When I saw RFR Band filming their documentary backstage, my inner media professional stirred. I couldn’t help but imagine the final cut, and suddenly, Bohemian Rhapsody flashed through my mind. It was so moving. The reason I’ve always loved bands and choirs is that music brings people together to create something uniquely theirs. For performers, the stage itself is the greatest reward. Seeing the keyboardist clap for the camera at the end nearly turned me into a weeping cat emoji. 😿😿 There were countless touching moments: The production team meticulously researching lighting designs for each act, pulling up reference screenshots of similar performances. The "five girls" Xiao Cai kept mentioning, sprinting around to scout venues like a whirlwind. The choir’s laughter when someone flubbed a note during warm-ups. The endless cycle of writing copy, editing videos, rehearsing, and making phone calls to vendors. Our 2 AM group chat debates about stage setup, followed by Ava’s 4 AM work update. Boss Hang’s triumphant yell when the fog machine finally worked. The constant backstage refrain: "Where’s Yanling? Ava? Boss Hang?" Watching cherry blossom trees and balloons slowly fill the venue. ✨ The bouquet I received afterward. The sea of tiny lights from the audience during our final song. That’s why I suggested making a thank-you video for the crew—because every single contribution, big or small, was visible and deeply appreciated. This gala was truly a collective labor of love. So, from the bottom of my heart: Thank you to every audience member who came, every performer who shone onstage, and every behind-the-scenes hero who made it happen.
